Holidays at northern Italy’s great lakes have a very special aura around them, which many return to again and again. Here is magnificent nature, cozy towns with restaurants on the lake shore, and a very pleasant climate in the summer months

The apartment is located in a larger holiday home complex with access to a large number of shared facilities. Among other things, a beautiful and well-maintained botanical garden, which surrounds the homes; 2 swimming pools and 2 tennis courts right on the lake shore; as well as a historic mansion with meeting and conference rooms, bar, billiards and common room for board games etc. To get to the tennis courts and pools, you have to walk a bit.

Area

Oggebbio is a small town located about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport, with 4 restaurants within walking distance, as well as a small convenience store in the square above the apartments. There is easy access by bus or car to the port city of Verbania, 10 km away, or one of the other beautiful towns along the lake shore.

The area around Lake Maggiore is full of activities: the Val Grande National Park, located just behind Oggebbio, offers excellent opportunities for hiking and trekking, and is Italy’s largest wilderness area. There are also 4 golf courses in the area, of which the 18-hole Golf Club des Iles Borromees at Stresa / Baveno is recommended.

Of course, the lake itself also invites you to a number of activities, such as boat trips, water sports, diving and not least fishing – Fishing licenses can be purchased at the post offices. In addition, a visit to the Borromean Islands just off Baveno is a must, where the counts of the Borromeo family 400 years ago created their own little paradises.

About the apartment

The apartment is large, on two floors, with 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms and a living room. The smallest room on the first floor has two single beds that are currently assembled as a double bed. The balcony from the living room offers the most amazing view of the lake. The apartment is located on the 6th floor, and is not suitable for people with walking difficulties, as there are many stairs outside the building. However, there is a lift inside the building up to the 6th floor. There is both a dishwasher and a washing machine in the apartment, so you have the opportunity to wash clothes along the way.

To arrive at our holiday home in Oggebbio, we recommend booking a taxi or renting a car. It will make your stay in Italy much easier.

The trip from Lugano Airport to Oggebbio will take about 1.5h and from Milan Malpensa about 1h and 15 min.

To arrive at our holiday home in Baveno, we recommend booking a taxi or renting a car. It will make your stay in Italy much easier.

The trip from Milan Malpensa Airport to Baveno will take about 50 min and from Lugano 1h and 30 min.

Near our holiday homes in Skagen you will find more than 60 kilometers of white sandy beach with good bathing opportunities – also for very young children. Here there is ample opportunity to slow down and enjoy a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

About the holiday home

Holiday home no. 97 (type 2) has two separate bedrooms with a total of 4 beds, in addition there are two single beds on the open 1st floor, and there is the possibility of an extra bed on the 1st floor. In addition, a full kitchen with equipment for cooking, south-facing terrace, as well as a spacious and bright bathroom.

Furthermore, it will be possible to use Skagen Strand Feriecenter’s many facilities such as: water park with sauna and steam room as well as sports hall, gym and several different outdoor facilities.
