The area around Lake Maggiore is full of activities: the Val Grande National Park, just 10 km away, offers excellent opportunities for hiking and trekking, and is Italy’s largest wilderness area. There are also 4 golf courses in the area, of which the 18-hole Golf Club des Iles Borromees at Stresa / Baveno is recommended.

Of course, the lake itself also invites you to a number of activities, such as boat trips, water sports, diving and not least fishing – Fishing licenses can be purchased at the post offices. In addition, a visit to the Borromean Islands just off Baveno is a must, where the counts of the Borromeo family 400 years ago created their own little paradises.
